Full-Stop No. 18/2025
(Family-Dispute)

Date of Compromise: – 05.05.2025
Name of the Court: Principal Judge, Family Court, Muzaffarpur.
i. Maintenance Case No. 112/2019 Pending in the court of the principal judge, Family Court, Muzaffarpur.

In this case, the petitioner is the father, and the respondents are his sons and daughters. The petitioner had initiated the maintenance proceedings under the relevant provisions of law, citing neglect and lack of support from his children despite his advancing age and increasing need for care and assistance. The petitioner stated that he had been left to fend for himself, and his repeated requests for emotional, physical, and financial support were ignored, leading him to seek legal recourse through the Family Court for relief.

On 05.05.2025, in a proactive effort to find an amicable solution outside the courtroom, a meeting was organised between the parties within the Civil Court campus at Muzaffarpur. Present at this meeting were the petitioner and one of the respondents, namely Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh. The meeting was facilitated by the “Dispute-Eater” initiative, which focuses on resolving family and civil disputes through dialogue and reconciliation. Through sustained and thoughtful counselling, both parties were given the opportunity to express their concerns and grievances in a structured and respectful environment.

After due deliberation and careful consideration of the issues at hand, the petitioner expressed his willingness to withdraw the maintenance case, provided that the respondents committed to maintaining familial respect and extending necessary support in the future. The counselling sessions helped restore communication between the parties and paved the way for understanding and emotional reconciliation.

Owing to the sincere and commendable efforts of “Dispute-Eater”, the long-standing dispute between the petitioner and the respondents has now been amicably resolved. The atmosphere of conflict and misunderstanding has been replaced with mutual respect and renewed familial harmony. Consequently, the petitioner has agreed to withdraw the case, and a formal petition to that effect has already been prepared and submitted before the Hon’ble Court.

This action is intended to bring the matter to a lawful and final resolution, ensuring that the legal proceedings are concluded in accordance with the principles of justice and harmony. The case, which once symbolised a serious familial rift, has now reached a point of peaceful closure. The withdrawal signifies not just the end of a legal battle but also a step forward in healing the personal relationship between a father and his children.

In this way, through mutual understanding and guided intervention, the dispute between the parties has now come to a full stop.
